We are pleased to announce the election of 16 new Fellows of the Econometric Society. Of the 456 Fellows eligible to vote, 343 Fellows participated in the Fellow election.
The Frisch Medal has been established by the Econometric Society to encourage the creation of good applied work and its submission to Econometrica. It is given every two years for an applied article (empirical or theoretical) published in Econometrica during the past five years.
The Tenth World Congress of the Econometric Society will take place in Shanghai, China, August 17-21, 2010. Papers presented at the Congress will represent a broad spectrum of theoretical and applied economics and econometrics. The invited program will consist of five named lectures, fifteen paired invited sessions, and three plenary policy sessions. We are pleased to announce the election of 21 new Fellows of the Econometric Society. Of the 433 Fellows eligible to vote, 311 Fellows participated in the Fellow election.
The Executive Committee agreed to endorse EconJobMarket.org, a non-profit central repository for job market materials, in the understanding the Society will not be restricted from endorsing other international electronic job market platforms.
